Student homes near the universities you’re headed to
uhomes.work helps international students shortlist, compare and book verified accommodation abroad, with the room detail you actually need, pricing you can read at a glance, and a consultant with you from first enquiry to move-in day.
- Verified listings
- Price-match promise
- Round-the-clock assistance

One search across the places students actually go
Rather than a single city or a single operator, uhomes.work brings study destinations, campuses and room formats into one place so you can compare properly before committing.
-
Study destinations
Coverage focused on the cities international students shortlist most across the UK, United States, Australia, Canada and Asia.
-
Near your campus
Every listing shows where it sits relative to your university, with walking and transit times so a short commute is a fact rather than a promise.
-
Every room format
From a bed in a shared room to a studio or an entire flat with friends, filtered by what you can spend rather than what is left over.
Where students are booking
Start from the city you have an offer in, then narrow down by campus, room type and budget.

Studying somewhere not listed? Tell us the university and intake month — sourcing a new city is part of the job.
Most booked this intake
The residences students shortlist most often, city by city. Distances are measured to the nearest campus, and every one on this list has been checked in person.
Weekly rents are shown in US dollars so you can compare cities side by side. Contracts are signed and paid in the property’s local currency, so the dollar figure moves with the exchange rate.
Pick the format that fits how you live
Budget, privacy and how sociable you want your year to be usually decide this. Here is what the labels actually mean.
Shared room
A bed in a room shared with one or more students. The cheapest way to live centrally, and the fastest way to meet people in week one.
En-suite room
Your own lockable room with a private bathroom, sharing only the kitchen and living space. The most common choice in purpose-built student housing.
Non-en-suite room
A private bedroom with a shared bathroom down the hall. Usually the best value per square metre if you do not mind queueing occasionally.
Studio
A self-contained flat — bed, kitchenette and bathroom behind one door. Costs more, and worth it if you need quiet to work.
1–2 bed apartment
A full apartment for yourself or with a partner or one friend. Separate bedrooms, shared kitchen and living room.
3–5+ bed apartment
Book a whole flat as a group. Per-person rent drops sharply, but you sign together — so agree on who pays what before you apply.
Let us handle the housing while you get on with the move
Signing a tenancy in a country you have never lived in is where most of the stress sits. These four things are what we hold ourselves to.
Checked before it goes live
We confirm the property, the operator and the terms before a listing appears, so you are not chasing an address that does not exist.
Room-level detail, before you commit
Room number, floor, aspect, floor plan and who you would be sharing with. These are the details that decide whether a year works.
Find it cheaper, we match it
If the same room is listed for less elsewhere on comparable terms, tell us and we will match the price rather than argue about it.
Someone awake in your timezone
Housing questions rarely arrive during office hours. One conversation, and you are not explaining your situation from scratch each time.
Three steps, and the paperwork is our problem
No week-long email threads. You choose, we process, you pack.
Browse and shortlist
Filter verified rooms by city, campus, room type and budget. Compare two or three properly instead of taking the first one that replies.
Apply through us
Documents, guarantor questions and the back-and-forth with the operator sit with your consultant, not with you.
View, confirm, sign
Walk the property in person or over video with a consultant. Deposit, break clause and what happens if your visa slips get explained before you sign.
Someone in the city, before and after you sign
Booking from another continent means the questions keep coming after you have signed. Support runs from the first enquiry through to the week you arrive.
- One consultant across your whole booking, so context is never lost in a handover
- Tenancy terms, deposits and break clauses explained before you sign anything
- Move-in guidance: keys, arrival windows, what to bring and what is already there
- Still reachable after you move in, if something about the room is not as described

Tell us your university and intake month
That is genuinely all we need to start. Send those two things and a consultant comes back with rooms that match your budget, not a catalogue to sift through.
- 1Share the basicsUniversity, intake month, and a rough monthly budget
- 2Get a shortlistMatched rooms with commute times and full costs, nothing hidden
- 3View and secure itIn person or over video, then sign once the terms are clear
